Go-For-It Programme

The Go For It Programme is funded by Invest NI and is available to anyone who wishes to start a business and participants will receive professional advice from the idea stage through to when they first start trading.

The Go-For-It Programme is FREE to participants and you can join the programme at any time. It is also available to anyone starting a full-time or part-time business.

The Go For It Programme offers the following:

A Business Advisory Service

You will be provided with the services of an expert business advisor who will work with you on a one-to-one confidential basis. This time will be spent in helping you prepare your business plan.

A Training Course

The course comprises of modules designed to help you understand the practicalities of running a new business. In particular it will highlight:

  • Sales and marketing – how to find customers
  • Financial management – how to manage money in the business
  • Legal and statutory issues – what you need to do
  • General business practices – Day-to-day running of your business
  • ICT support – how to use technology to enhance business performance

Financial Planning

We will help you decide on the finances needed to successfully start a new business and explore potential sources of funding available. This will include access to finance, including grants and loans.

Programme Eligibility

The Go For It Programme is open to anyone thinking of starting a new business provided:

  • You are prepared to take an active role in the business on a part-time or full-time basis
  • The proposed business is new and not illegal or immoral.
