Engineering Innovation Programme
The Engineering Innovation Programme will assist a number of micro/small engineering businesses located within the Cookstown District Council area. Each participating business will receive assistance with development of a detailed Business Plan as well as up to 8 days of specialist one-to-one engineering consultancy support tailored to meet the needs of each participating business. The engineering consultancy support will focus on innovative product and process development and business improvement techniques. In addition, engineering businesses will have the opportunity to attend two business seminars being delivered as part of the programme. The seminars will focus on ‘innovation’ and how Innovation can assist small businesses with growth and development.

- Ability to become an Invest NI client company
- Ability to gain support from other programmes to assist businesses long term sustainability.
Business eligibility criteria
To be eligible to apply, businesses should be;
- Located in the Cookstown District
- Trading for more than 6 months
- A micro/small engineering business
- A non-Invest NI client company or a non-active Invest NI client company.
Programme Funding
The business support provided to businesses will be FREE OF CHARGE, as the programme is part financed by Cookstown District Council and the European Regional Development Fund under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland (2007-2013).

Programme Delivery Agents
The programme delivery agents are Cookstown Enterprise Centre in conjunction with the Innotech Centre at South West College, Cookstown.
