Enterprise Centre promoting ICT in Local Business
The logon.ni Mobile Demonstration Unit recently travelled to Cookstown Enterprise Centre to offer advice and guidance to local businesses on a range of issues relating to ICT. The mobile demonstration unit is part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s (DETI) £3.9million, log on.ni programme, which is designed to deliver free broadband advice to Northern Ireland’s SMEs, enabling them to take advantage of the potential benefits of broadband. The programme is co-financed under the European Regional Development Fund Sustainable Competitiveness Programme 2007-2013.
The mobile demonstration unit is equipped with the latest technology; including a satellite broadband internet connection, and is staffed by several experienced ICT advisors. Cookstown based businesses were able to receive advice when the mobile demonstration unit visited Cookstown Enterprise Centre on 18th June and local businesses availed of free guidance on a number of issues from setting up a broadband router, to simple practical ICT advice, as well as having the opportunity to avail of the new technology provided by the demonstration unit.
